Edward Rex Clayson, age 69, passed away at the VA Hospital in Salt Lake City, UT on December 17, 2018. He was born on March 19, 1949 in Spanish Fork, Utah, the son of Edward Stoddard and Ethel Faye (Argyle) Clayson. He married Pamela Sue Slovernick on November 2, 1974 in Las Vegas, NV.
He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps, and was honorably discharged in January 1974. During his military career, he served in Vietnam, and received two purple hearts.
Rex loved the great outdoors. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and enjoyed being in the mountains with his family camping. He loved to weld, and spent the majority of his working career with Church & Dwight. He enjoyed bullriding, and bareback riding. He loved to spend time with his family and his longtime companion, Missie, his dog.
He is survived by his beloved spouse, Pamela Clayson, of Diamondville, WY; his children, Jamie Fettkether, of Texas, Jeralyn & Dale Smuin, of Kemmerer, WY; Kodi & Shirley Clayson, of Brookings, South Dakota, Michael Clayson, of Las Vegas, NV.; Sisters, Vickie & Jack Barton, of Henderson, NV.; Charmine & Michael DeMunda, of Henderson, NV.; Patty Stevens of Henderson, NV.; nine grandchildren, two great granchildren, and many cousins, nices, nephews; two brother in laws, and one sister in law.
