Charles Dwayne Smith passed away near Kemmerer, WY on September 11, 2019 at the age of 46. He was born on April 1, 1973 in Kemmerer, Wyoming. Chuck is the son of Lonnie Dwayne and Charlene Marie (Mason) Smith.
Chuck married his sweetheart Shellie Don Hortin on June 15, 2002 in Diamondville, Wyoming.  
Chuck had a passion for the great outdoors. He enjoyed spending time fishing, hunting, camping, hiking, and gardening. He loved to spend time woodworking, and was very talented. He also loved to cook. Chuck was an avid Wyoming Cowboy fan and loved to spend time rooting for the Pokes. He loved being with his grandchildren and his family, and devoted his time to them. He was kind, compassionate, hard-working, and loved all that were close to him. He was employed by Williams Field Services in Opal, and was a maintainance supervisor there. 
Chuck is survived by his loving family: his wife, Shellie Smith, his parents, Lonnie and Charlene Smith, and a daughter, Kimberlee Smith, all of Diamondville, WY. He is survived by a son, Mason (Lauren) Smith, of Ft. Stewart, GA; a daughter, Macey (T.J.) Roberts, of Kemmerer, WY; and a son, Colter (Paige) Wright, of Milford, UT. He is survived by his loving grandchildren: Avery, Remington, Abigail, Eleanor, Heston, and Ava. He is also survived by two sisters, Misty (Spencer) Neria, of Diamondville, WY; and Meredith Huggins of Jackson, WY.  
Chuck is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Douglas & Jean Smith and his maternal grandparents, Phil & Dolores Mason. He is also preceded in death by his Aunt Sue and Uncle Alan Caudell, an aunt, Connie Smith, and an uncle, Mark Hahn.  
Memorial services will be conducted ‪on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at 11:00 A.M.‬ at the Kemmerer LDS Stake Center, with Bishop Scott Ellis officiating. Following the service, internment will take place at South Lincoln Cemetery in Kemmerer, WY.
