Aaron Hess died peacefully in his sleep on Sunday morning June 14, 2026, from a severely weakened heart caused by a recent heart attack. He had been ill with chronic kidney disease and heart failure brought on by diabetes for a few years. Aaron Trent was born on September 19, 1988, to Kent and Yvonne Johnson Hess. He joined his older brother, Kent Evan, who adored him from day one. And then they had his little sister, Cora Ann to complete their little family. Cora also adored him. So much so that she tried to emulate him and she would steal his clothes all the time. Aaron told his mom many times in recent years how he loved his childhood and wouldn't trade it for anything. He spent most of his childhood living in either the Kemmerer/Diamondville area or living in Evanston, Wyoming. He was a very active child who couldn't sit still for long. He enjoyed the outdoors immensely. Although he loved gaming, it wouldn't be long before he would be out on his BMX bike at the local skate park. He loved camping and fishing with his family, especially his Uncle Travis, who would tell him incredibly funny fishing stories. When his parents broke up, he decided to stay with his dad because he thought his dad needed him more. Eventually, he chose to move in with his mom and siblings. His high school days were filled with friends and concerts and parties. He had his share of court hearings and run ins with the law and kept his mom on her toes. He was too eager to start his life, so he never completed high school. He explained to his mom that sometimes a formal education isn't everyone's cup of tea and that he would never be college material. He was ready to see what the world had to offer him, so he moved to Idaho to start his life with his dad. But he always found his way back home to Wyoming. He loved to work and started out as a delivery driver for a pizza place and worked several jobs as a cook before he found the job he really loved out at the Exxon plant working for a sub-contractor. He learned to operate several pieces of heavy equipment. He had to give up work when his kidneys began to fail and found himself having to be on dialysis after enduring a severe bout of COVID 19. When he wasn't working, he loved riding his 4wheeler, snow machine or mudding in his Blazer. He enjoyed going places with Miranda or just hanging out at his house with her and whatever friends who dropped by. Or stopping by the ranch to visit Geno and shoot some pool. He dated several girls before falling in love with Miranda Baker. She was his one true love. They endured the brutality of these diseases together since they both had the same conditions. They loved each other through tough times, and he was incredibly heartbroken when she passed last December. He missed her terribly. But he fought hard to keep going for his family who loved him dearly. His last few months were filled with hospital stays, appointments, and road trips to appointments. But he made sure to make each moment count with his loved ones by his side. Especially his brother and his niece, Savannah. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Gene and Ruth Johnson, his grandmother, Rita Sibbett, his grandfather Arthur Hess, his father, Kent Allen Hess and his sister Cora Hess. He is survived by his mother and stepfather Yvonne and Tony Bettine, his brother, Kent and his niece, Savannah along with extended family and many, many friends. His viewing will be Wednesday, June 17 from 6 to 8 pm at the Ball Family Chapel. Funeral services will be held at St Paul's Lutheran Church on Monday June 22nd at 11:00 am. He wanted to thank the many first responders who provided life saving measures these last few months. He never got the chance, but his family would like to express it on his behalf. We valued the extra time we got with him. Also, he wanted people to know how important organ donation is for people like him and Miranda.
