Arnold Onecimo Olguin

Arnold “Arnie” O. Olguin passed away October 13, 2021, at the University of Utah Hospital as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident outside of Evanston, Wyoming.



Arnie, our beloved little brother and a special member of our family, was born May 26, 1947, to Juan and Telesfora Olguin in Kemmerer, Wyoming. He was raised and lived all his life in Diamondville. After graduation, he was drafted into the US Army and served for two years in Germany. Arnold returned home and worked in the construction industry as a crane operator and was a member of the Operating Engineers until retirement.



Arnie was kindhearted, loved children and helping his neighbors. He especially loved fishing, the outdoors and spending time with his dear friend Melvin Rawlins, and other special friends. His siblings, nephews, nieces, grand nephews and grand nieces loved him and always enjoyed being with him.



Arnold was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather Paul Olguin, brothers-in-law Dean Decker, Rod Donovan and Mel Elsen, nephews Matt Decker, Dion Wade and Randy Decker, and great nephew Cody Decker.



He is survived by siblings, Priscilla Elsen, Evanston, WY; Emily Decker, Lyman, WY; Julian Olguin, Long Beach, CA; Elias Olguin, Kemmerer WY; George (Monson) Olguin, Diamondville, WY; Fabiola Donovan (Joe Martinez), Alamosa, CO and Nancy (Bill) Wade, Kemmerer, WY.



He is also survived by nephews, Craig and Gene Decker, Scott and Paul Elsen, Johnny Olguin and Travis Wade, nieces, Hae Suk Werner, Tina and Janet Olguin, Lisa Carter, Michelle Jones and Nikki Cross and many grand-nephews and grand-nieces.
