Barbara Isabelle Stallings

Barbara Isabelle Stallings, age 83, passed away at South Lincoln Nursing Center in Kemmerer, WY. on Sunday, January 12, 2014.  


Barbara was born on November 2, 1930 in Bayfield, Colorado, the daughter of George Francis and Hanna Inez (Tycksen) Olbert.  She married Francis Gustave Stallings, Sr. "Curley" on June 7, 1950 in Farmington, New Mexico.  He preceded her in death on December 18, 1987.


Barbara loved being in the outdoors.  She especially enjoyed gardening, raising beautiful flower gardens, spending time fishing, hunting, and cooking.  She loved to travel the world with her husband as he took them many places for his employment.  Barbara was a kind and gracious lady to all whom she met throughout her life.


She is survived by her children, Daughter, Barbara Casey, of Portland, OR.; a son, Gustave Stallings, of Ralston, WY.; and a daughter, Kathy (Don) Failoni, of Kemmerer, WY.  She is also survived by seven grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.  She is also survived by a brother, Howard Olbert, of Denver, CO.; and a sister, Karen Peters, of Denver, CO.  


She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two grandsons.


As per her wishes, Barbara will be cremated, with Ball Family Chapel, Kemmerer, WY. entrusted to her care.  Memorial donations may be made to the Kemmerer Senior Citizens Center, or to South Lincoln Nursing Center, or to that of the donor's choice.
