Bradford George McMillan

WELL, AIN’T THAT SOMETHIN’ BRAD HAS ACTUALLY PULLED HIS LEG OUT OF THE CLOSET, AND KICKED THE BUCKET.

Bradford George McMillan, age 69, kicked the bucket on Monday, April 29, 2024 at St. Mark’s hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah.

He was born on July 14, 1954, in Kemmerer, Wyoming, the son of William and Opal (Pecolar) McMillan.  He is the youngest of three children.  He was raised and educated in Kemmerer.

Brad thourougly enjoyed trappin’, huntin’, guns, friends, and family.  He was a great cook, mentor, BS-er, not so great housekeeper, and a man who loved to argue back and forth.  Brad was quick witted and had many great quotes that we all like to throw out now and again like, “You can’t breed buzzards and get peacocks” and “Hell, I bit myself worse than that.”

Brad was married and later divorced, and to this union came two peacocks.  Jere and Jodi adored their dad, and took great care of him, they were handier than a shirt pocket.  Brad taught them everything he knew and was proud of them.  Jodi is grateful he didn’t trade her for a coyote pup.

Papa Harold, (Lovingly named by his two grandsons), was their biggest supporter and most loyal fan in the stands.  Papa Harold made it to every sports event, concert, and activity.  When he couldn’t be there, he would call a million times to see how they were doing.  He loved to take the boys on many adventures, enjoyed watching them shoot guns, and gave them questionable advice on chicks.

Brad lived his life to the fullest, and definitely threw caution to the wind!  He always said,  Lifes like ridin’ broncs, it’s a battle.... Brad was a dedicated member of the Lincoln County Search and Rescue, Commissary Commandos, The Kemmerer Gun Club, and The Fraternal Order of Eagles, and the Lincoln County Predator Board.

Brad is survived by his son, Jere (Karen) McMillan, a daughter, Jodi (Jake) Vilos, two grandsons Matthew and Heston McMillan, a sister, Connie McMillan, a niece Megan (Tanner) Hansen, two great nieces, Shaylee Smith (Ben Austin) and Taylor McCloud (Cory Stoof), and many friends.  He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Opal McMillan, a brother, Mickey McMillan, and many of his fellow old timers.

Cremation has taken place under the care of Ball Family Chapel and a celebration of life with some luke warm beer will take place at a later date.
