Cora Ann Hess

On December 24, 2015 in Ogden Utah our beloved Cora Ann Hess, 25, was called home to be with Jesus.

Cora was born on September 4, 1990 in Kemmerer WY where she joined her older brothers to complete our little family.

From the time she could stand Cora loved music and dancing and was her dad's favorite dance partner. In high school, she enjoyed playing basketball and swimming but she especially loved being a member of the competitive dance team, Dance Xtreme. She loved and admired Zana, Lindsey and McKell and her fellow team mates. At seventeen, she married Stephen M. Knoll and also gave birth to her most precious gift and the love of her life, Savannah. Stephen and Cora divorced the following year. Cora loved having fun in the outdoors. She loved camping, fishing, rock hunting, snow mobiling, and good company and a cold beer around the campfire. She also loved watching NFL football and cheering on her favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys.  Like her dad, she enjoyed cooking and working with food and was often employed in fast food.

Family was important to Cora and she enjoyed spending time with them. Especially her brothers and she could usually be found at the skate park or somewhere playing video games with them. She also enjoyed the times she spent with her mom and Savannah shopping or going to concerts.

Cora is survived by her parents Yvonne and Anthony (Tony) Bettine of Diamondville, WY, daughter Savannah Roxy Hess of Diamondville, WY and brothers Kent and Aaron Hess of Kemmerer, WY, step-sister Shaye K. Bettine of Kuna, ID and her grandma Ruth Johnson of Diamondville, WY and grandma Rita Sibbetts of Lyman, WY. and several aunts and uncles and cousins. She is preceded in death by her father, Kent Alan Hess, her grandpa Eugene Johnson, her grandpa Arthur Hess, as well as her beloved Uncle Travis Black and much loved great grandma Gertrude Crawford and great grandparents Louis and Marie Sebold.

Visitation will be held at Ball Family Chapel in Kemmerer, WY. On Tuesday,  December 29, 2015 from 6PM until 8PM. And funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Kemmerer, with Pastor Jonathan Lange officiating.  Interment will follow services at the South Lincoln Cemetery, Kemmerer, WY.

The family would like to thank their friends, neighbors and the community for their kindness and condolences at this most difficult time in dealing with their sudden loss.

In lieu of flowers the family would like to suggests sending donations to the funeral home to help out with costs incurred.
