Dennis Leo Kampman

Dennis Leo Kampman, age 71, died at the Sheridan Veterans Administration Hospital in Sheridan, Wyoming on Monday, April 27, 2015.

He was born on December 2, 1943 in Tremonton, Utah, the son of Oliver and Ellen Ione (Lamb) Kampman.  

Dennis served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam.  He loved to spend time in the great outdoors, enjoying camping, and all the outdoors had to offer.  He worked for several years at Pittsburgh & Midway Mine, and also for Utah Power and Light Co. He was a true cowboy, enjoying riding the range, and being in the outdoors.  Dennis also was a great and talented artist.  He loved watercolor, oil, sculpting bronze, and was happiest when he had a brush in his hand.  

He is survived by his children, daughters, Georgene Ann Kampman, of Sheridan, WY.; Ellen Ione Kampman, of Sweden, and Nina Marie Marjoma Kampman, also of Sweden.  He is survived by a son, Jeremiah Isaac Kampman, of Casper, WY.  Dennis is also survived by a sister, Christina Martinez, of Diamondville, WY.; six grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews, who loved him dearly.  

He is preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Ellen Kampman, and his step mother, Mary E. Haddenham Kampman,; two brothers, Michael H. Kampman, and Mark O. Kampman.

Dennis wishes were to be cremated.  His life will be celebrated at a graveside service in Kemmerer, WY. In the spring of 2016.
