Diane M Kahre

Our beloved Diane Moon Kahre, age 47, passed away unexpectedly at McKay-Dee Hospital following a recent illness on December 20th, 2023, with her husband by her side. She was born in Lander, Wyoming, on 06/01/1976 to Vernal Blaine and Barbra Ann (Reed) Moon. She graduated from Riverton High School (Wyoming) in 1994. It was there that she met her soulmate and best friend, Michael F. Kahre. They began dating in 1993 and were sealed for time and all eternity on 11/15/1995 in the LDS Bountiful Temple. 

Diane loved more than anything to spend time with her husband, children, family, friends, and her dogs. She was an avid camper and enjoyed spending as much time as she could in the mountains. Campfire and smores were her favorites. She enjoyed reading and soaking in the tub, where she felt most at peace with a few candles burning. 

Diane had an infectious smile, and her laughter filled your heart when you heard it. She loved everyone she met and had the kindest, most patient soul. She never met anyone she didn’t like, and that was the same with those who met her. If you had the chance to know Diane you were very blessed because you knew you were loved. 

Oh, how wonderful it must have been when she passed to be the first to meet her first grandbaby, Tyson, who is due in February 2024, as well as her father, Vernal Moon. I’m sure she was hugged tightly by her dad and her Heavenly Father, as well as giving continuous snuggles and kisses to Tyson. 

Diane is survived by her loving husband, Michael F. Kahre. Her three beloved children Kayla (Griffin) Kozeal, Jessica (Paden Anderson) Kahre, and Michael JD (Bella Sundberg) Kahre. Her mother, Barbra Moon; three brothers, Curtis (Brandy) Moon, David (Cori) Moon, Paul (Cassie) Moon; and three sisters, Tracy (Tyler) Rushton, Carla (David) Chevez, and Katie (Paul) Adams. Numerous in-laws, cousins, aunts, and uncles, and nearly 40 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Vernal Blaine Moon, as well as her grandparents.

Rest easy, my sweet Diane, until we meet again, I will take care of our kids (grandkids) and dogs!

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 6th, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the LDS Stake Center located at 1584 3^rd West Ave. Diamondville, Wyoming 83116. Graveside services will follow at the Kemmerer Cemetery
