Hildegarde Sebastian

Hildegarde (Spencer) Sebastian, 81, of Kemmerer passed away peacefully on July 11, 2013 at The Rosewood Care Center in Reno, Nevada.

Hildegarde was born on October 25, 1931 in Evanston, WY, the daughter of LeRoy and Alta (Wilson) Spencer.  Hildegarde was raised on the upper Bear River on the family ranch.  She married Joe Sebastian from Kemmerer, WY on September 26, 1949 in Lander, WY and to this union four children were born.

Hildegarde divided her time between Kemmerer and Reno where she enjoyed her time with all of her children and her animals.  She had a wonderful sense of humor and was always devoted to her children. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to many who had the opportunity to know her.

She is survived by daughters Michele Ellis and Jan Mooney both from Reno, NV, sons Chester Sebastian from Kemmerer and Joseph Guy and wife Michelle Sebastian of Jackson Hole, WY, and her two loving grandchildren, Lindsey Ann Sebastian and Cassidy Skye Sebastian both of Jackson Hole, WY and many nieces and nephews.

Hildegarde is preceded in death by her husband Joe Sebastian who recently passed away November 18, 2012 and her parents, LeRoy and Alta Spencer both from Evanston and her seven brothers, Francis, Gene, Vern, Gay, Cal, Thomas and Don Spencer and four sisters, Eva Hawkins, Jan McCrorey, Mary Spencer and Dorothy Olivas.

Cremation has taken place at Truckee Meadows Cremation in Reno, Nevada. Graveside Memorial services will be held at the Kemmerer City Cemetery on July 26, 2013 for both Joe and Hilde at 1:00 pm.
