Kemmerer

James Lee Eubank, age 85, from Kemmerer, Wyoming passed away at home on November 19, 2023.

Jim was born in Hawthorne, California, on June 2, 1938, to George and Verna Eubank. He was the oldest of two children. He grew up with his time spent in Inglewood, California and on a family ranch in LaBarge, Wyoming.

Jim attended a private Military school from the 1st – 4th grade. Then, went to public school and graduated from Inglewood High School in 1956. After graduating, he left California to live on the ranch full time. In 1957, he decided to enlist in the U.S. Coast Guard and served for four years; stationed in Port Townsend, Washington.

On March 24, 1959, Jim married Karen Lunbeck, which was the beginning of a 64 year marriage. When Jim got out of the service, he and Karen settled on the ranch and raised their four children.

Besides 35 years of ranching, Jim had been involved in many other business ventures.

He had multiple hobbies: Spending time with his wife who was the love of his life, model trains, the military jeep he restored and entered in car shows, and there wasn’t a thing the man couldn’t do with a piece of wood.

Jim is survived by his wife, Karen; his oldest son Jesse (Vickie); daughters Julie and Laura; sister, Joanne; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Verna; Brother-in-law, Phil; and youngest son, Daniel.

Services will be held at Ball’s Funeral Chapel at 12 p.m. on December 2nd, with Military Honors following, in the parking lot. Dedication of the grave will be held at the Viola Cemetery in LaBarge, for those who would like to attend
