Jimmy David Hahn, age 51, passed away at his home in Diamondville, Wyoming on February 12, 2026. He was born on May 7, 1974 in Kemmerer, Wyoming, the son of Jimmy David Sr. and Linda Fay (Angelo) Hahn. He grew up in Diamondville, Wyoming. Jimmy attended school in Kemmerer, graduating from Kemmerer High School in 1992. He attended Casper College in the fall of 1992, studying to become a game warden. He moved to Moab, Utah in 1994 to help his mom run a new garage door and window business.
Jimmy moved back to Diamondville the next year and went into law enforcement until the age of 32. He retired as Chief of Police of the Diamondville Police Department.
After battling cancer at 32, he retired and got into ranching and horses. He met and married his best friend and soulmate, Dana Hahn in June of 2015, and gained a daughter Kayla Cook.
Jimmy's passions included Law Enforcement, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, side by sides, trucks, martial arts, and being up country whenever possible. Jimmy was an avid Wyoming Cowboys fan.
He is survived by his wife, Dana Hahn, a daughter, Kayla Cook, a brother, Shane Hahn, an Aunt Terry and many cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his maternal and paternal grandparents, and several aunts and uncles.
A visitation will take place from noon until 1:00 pm at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Kemmerer, on Saturday, February 21, 2026. Funeral services will take place at 1:00 pm at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Kemmerer, and Internment will follow services at the South Lincoln Cemetery, Kemmerer, WY.
Memorial donations may be made to Dana Hahn savings account at BMO Bank in Kemmerer.
