Joyce Mable Nelson

Joyce Mable Nelson was Born in Boise Idaho on May 30, 1948 to Dwayne and Mable Weaver. Her childhood was spent in Star Idaho with her two brothers (Bob and Bill) and her three sisters (Betty, Kay, and Donna), who she loved very dearly. During her lifetime she was able to serve the lord in many callings. She served a mission in the West Spanish American mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints from 1969 to 1971. On August 23 1972 She married Charles Craig Nelson In the Idaho Falls Temple for Time and all Eternity. Born to them were five daughters and one son: Jennifer, Deborah, Elizabeth, Kathleen, Micah, and Emily.



During her lifetime she was able to serve the lord in many callings, including Branch, Ward, Stake and Mission primary president, Sunday school teacher, Primary teacher, and relief society teacher and counselor. She truly loved her calling as Seminary teacher in Kemmerer Wyoming and Sidney Montana. She especially loved her service as an ordinance worker in the Vernal Ut, Bismarck ND, and Star Valley WY Temples.



She enjoyed the outdoors and loved to go fishing with her husband Craig. Joyce loved her children, all her grandchildren, and her great grandchild. She touched many lives and will be greatly missed. She had a god given gift to love everyone unconditionally.



Joyce was preceded in death by her son Micah, granddaughter Celeste, her mother Mable Weaver and father DuWayne Weaver, sister Betty Bufford and brother Bill Weaver. She is survived by her daughters: Jennifer Nelson, Deborah (Joseph Michael), Elizabeth (Roger Slagowski), Kathleen (Yusif Alshamarri), and Emily Nelson. Her Grandchildren: Courtney (Garrett Casperson), Kammi (Jake Brower), Charles (Morgan Michael), Jacob Michael, Alivia Michael, Xander Slagowski, and great-granddaughter Bristol Brower.



Services will be held at the Kemmerer LDS Stake Center at 11:00 on Saturday September 4, 2021. Viewings will be held Friday September 3 from 6 to 8PM, at Ball Family Chapel, and Saturday morning at 10:00 prior to the funeral at the Stake Center. Interment will be at the Kemmerer Cemetery after the Service.
