Kathleen Rose Stevenson, age 65 passed away on October 2, 2015 at the home of her daughter in Randolph, Utah. She was born on May 17, 1950 in Coalville, Utah, the daughter, of Hiram William and Dorothy Rose (Carpenter) George. She married Joseph Gary Stevenson, on August 19, 1968 in the Salt Lake City Temple.
Kathleen was a avid sports lover. She enjoyed watching the BYU Cougars, The Atlanta Braves, and many other teams. She adored her husband, Gary and the time she spent with him, and her family. Family meant the world to Kathy, and she relished the time she could spend with all of her children, grandchildren, and other siblings. She enjoyed spending time crocheting, reading, bowling, and watching movies. She also enjoyed spending time in the Kemmerer Community Choir, participating in concerts during the holiday season. Kathy was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and she held numerous callings within the church during her lifetime. She loved the Savior, and followed his teachings throughout her life of being kind, gentle, and loving towards all she met.
Kathy is survived by her children, a daughter, Kristen (Scott) Ferguson, of Randolph, UT.; a son, Michael G. (Jenn) Stevenson, of Othello, WA.; and Julie (Mitch) Flanders, of Mona, UT. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Skyler Ferguson, Tanner Ferguson, Alexa Ferguson, Kaylee Ferguson, Makayla Stevenson, Noah Stevenson, Kade Stevenson, Jacob Stevenson, Emma Stevenson, Kristina Flanders, Amy Flanders, Matthew Flanders, Makenna Flanders, and Madison Flanders. Kathy is also survived by her siblings, a sister, Nancy (Kent) Edrington, of Evanston, WY.; a brother, Don (Cathie) George, of Evanston, WY.; a sister, Brenda (Stephen) Croxford, of Harrisville, UT.; a brother, Randy (Glenda) George, of Evanston, WY.; a brother, Paul (Jana) George, of Montpeliar, ID.; and a sister, Lisa George of Evanston, WY.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Gary Stevenson, and three brothers, Bob, Tom, and Tim.
Visitation will be held at Ball Family Chapel in Kemmerer, WY. On Tuesday, October 6, 2015 from 6:00 P.M. Until 8:00 P.M. Graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. At the Evanston City Cemetery, Evanston, WY.
Memorial donations may be made to that of the donor’s choice.
