Kathryn Louise Connelly

Our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Kathyrn Louise (West) Connelly, 69, of Kemmerer, WY passed away peacefully in her home June 9, 2022. Kathy was born December 10, 1952 in Ogden, UT to parents Eldon and Edna West. Kathy married her high school sweetheart, Kent, April 19, 1974 in Ogden and they were later sealed for all time and eternity in the Ogden LDS Temple, April 21, 1994. 

Kathy is survived by her husband Kent, her three children, Kirt (Jodie) Connelly of Kamas, UT, Shannon (Doug) Bush of Clinton, UT and Melissa (Korey) Whitaker of West Haven, UT, her brother, Judd (Linda) West, fourteen grandchildren, Karson, Trevor (Angel), Allie, Kolter, Kinsey, Brynlee, Dalton, Ellie, Logan, Lainey, Oaklan, Hallie, Payslee, Krew and 1 great grandchild, Ridge. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister Lillian (Bob) Gurr.

Kathy's love for her family and community was evident throughout her life. She worked as a resource room aid for over 20 years. She was also very active in the LDS church. She was a seminary teacher, ward missionary and held many church service callings.

She will be remembered for her endless love and dedication to her family. Kathy lived for family gatherings, dinners, and trips. Even up until her death, she was busy planning the next family get together. Nothing brought her more joy than time spent with her loving husband, children, and grandchildren. Besides her service and spending time with her family, she loved to quilt, sew, decorate, play games, travel, crafts, and all things Disney. 

Friends, family and members of the community are invited to share their condolences and celebrate her life at a viewing Tuesday, June 14 from 6-8 pm or Wednesday, June 15 from 10-11 am with funeral services beginning at 11:30 am. Viewing and funeral services will be held at the Kemmerer LDS Stake Center, 1584 3rd W Ave, Kemmerer, WY. Graveside services will follow at the South Lincoln Cemetery, Kemmerer, WY.  Flowers can be arranged through Ball Family Chapel at 307-877-4505. In lieu of flowers, the family requests paying it forward with an act of service or helping someone in need.
