Katie Anne Krotz, age 17, died at her home on May 19, 2021. She was born on April 18, 2004 in Evanston, Wyoming, the daughter of Jenna Thatcher and Kevin Krotz.
Katie had a full head of beautiful red hair and a huge smile for everyone to see. She loved animals of all shapes and sizes. She wanted to be a veternarian since around the age of 8 years old. She loved playing with her brother and sister and all her many cousins. She was so proud of how well she was doing in school and had just found out she could qualify for a scholarship with her ACT score. She has left a hole in our hearts that will never be filled. She is survived by her mom, Jenna Bumgarner, her step father, Jeremy Gauthier, her brother, Lane Krotz, Drake Gauthier, and Hunter Gauthier, a sister, Naatalie Bumgarner. She is also survived by her grandparents, Bryan and Marsha Krotz, Anne (Bill) Powell, and Mark and Verna Thatcher, Terry Powell, and Luanne and Ralph Mair, and Ken and Marie Gauthier. Katie is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Kevin Lee Krotz.
