On January 29, 2014 the world lost one of it shining stars. Linda C. Wood after a valiant fight with cancer left this world and moved on to a new adventure in Heaven. She was born on September 22, 1952 to Shirley and Sylvia Peterson, in Pocatello, Idaho.
She was blessed with two wonderful boys, Jeremy and Niles Hansen, who were the light of her life. On June 1, 1999 she married the love of her life and soul mate, Robert S. Wood. Linda loved life and together Bob showed her the beautiful side of it, taking her to places she had always dreamed of seeing.
For several years she worked and directed the Kemmerer Senior Center. It was more than a job; she loved it there. Her staff adored her and helped her so she could greet every senior, who she grew to love and admire. She left when she was diagnosed with cancer so she could fight the valiant fight to the end.
She will be missed by the many friends who she always found time to see and spend time with even on her worst days. She always made them feel special and brightened their lives with her contagious smile.
Linda was proceeded in death by her father, her son Niles, her brother Ronald Peterson, and her brother-in-law Richard Jepson. They now keep her safe till the others she loves joins her.
She leaves behind her true love Bob Wood, her mother Sylvia Peterson, her sister Karen Jepson, her son Jeremy Nielson, Nathan (Page) Wood, Tammy (Josh) Cooley, 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers you may make checks out to Paws and Claws and take them to the Bank of the West in the name of Linda Wood.
Cremation hast taken place entrusted to Ball Family Chapel, of Kemmerer, WY.
