Melva Jayne Williams, age 61, passed away at her home in Kemmerer on Sunday, September 14, 2014. She was born on February 8, 1953, in Kemmerer, WY.; the daughter of James Raymond and Annie Louise (Castanio) Buck. She attended schools and graduated from Kemmerer High School. She later married and was later divorced.
Melva enjoyed sewing, embroidery work, quilting, and in her earlier years, she enjoyed spending time riding horses. Melva loved children; especially her own children, her grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. She was kind hearted and adored her Tika Poodles.
She is survived by her children, Jimmy Guy Williams, of Taylorsville, UT.; and a daughter, Rebekah Vigil, of San Diego, CA. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Samantha Garlick, and Victoria Vigil, and also four great grandchildren. Melva is also survived by her brothers, Raymond (Patti) Buck, of Draper, UT.; Jay (J’Lene) Buck, of Kemmerer, WY.; and her sister, Rea Hannah, of West Jordan, UT. She is also survived by serveral nieces and nephews.
Melva is preceded in death by her parents, James Raymond and Annie Buck, a sister, Ruth Meeks, and an infant son, Christopher Williams.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the Kemmerer L.D.S. Stake Center, with Bishop Destry Dearden officiating. Interment will follow services at the South Lincoln Cemetery, Kemmerer, WY. Friends may call at the stake center one hour prior to the funeral services on Saturday.
