Michelle Rae Klun

Michelle Rae Klun passed away peacefully at her home in Magna, UT on May 29, 2016 at the age of 46 after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis.

Michelle was born on October 2, 1969 in Kemmerer, WY to Frank 'Bill' and Patsy (Rose) Klun. Michelle attended Kemmerer schools and then graduated from the University of Utah with a bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy and Psychology. She worked for the University of Utah Hospital, Utah Department of Corrections, and in Loss Prevention for JCPenney and Kmart, before her MS disabled her. Whenever Michelle was able, she helped anyone who needed help with a variety of yard and home projects throughout the years.

Michelle will always be remembered by her love for the outdoors (especially moose) and her devotion to her beloved Utah Utes. One of her favorite things to do was spend time in the great outdoors especially in Wyoming. Michelle never met a stranger. She would strike up a conversation with anyone, anywhere, as well as provide a helping hand to anyone in need. Her generosity to others was amazing!

Michelle's membership in the St. James Episcopal Church in Kemmerer, WY brought her great comfort throughout her trials. Reverend, Walt Seeley traveled to Michelle and Judy's home in Utah to administer her final communion and last rites prior to her passing.

Michelle was preceded in death by her parents, Frank "Bill" and Patsy Klun. She is survived by her life partner, Judy Fasbender and her beloved grand-daughter, Lily Rose Ortega of Magna, UT; step-daughters, Lindsay (Adan) Ortega, Peoa, UT,  Jennifer  Fasbender of Salt Lake City, UT; sisters Natalie Klun (Trace Bunderson) of Salt Lake City, UT and Cindy Waisath (Colby) of Houston, TX; nephew, Taylor Waisath, Houston, TX; niece, Courtney Waisath, Tucson, AZ and lifelong friend Carol Dye of Salt Lake City, UT, as well as her many friends who loved and supported her throughout this journey.

We love you to the moon and back, fly free now Michelle!
