Patsy Marie Smith

Patsy M. Smith, age 67, passed away at her home on September 7, 2016 with her husband by her side.  Patsy was born on June 19, 1949 in Dallas, Texas, the daughter of Lewis R. And Hazel (Holt) Meeks.

She married Milburn A. Smith in Dallas, Texas on January 19, 1969.

Patsy spent her career after graduating from The University of Wyoming in 1986 as a school teacher.  She taught elementary school in Gillette and Kemmerer.  She loved teaching and loved spending time with the children, and those whom she associated with over the years.  Patsy was a wonderful cook, and enjoyed cooking for friends and loved ones.

She is survived by her husband, Milburn A. Smith, of Kemmerer, WY.; and a son, Jeremy E. Smith and his spouse, Joy Ishigo, of Calgary, Alberta, Canada.  She is also survived by her father, Lewis Meeks, of Cedar Hill, TX.,  and a brother, Steve Meeks, of Cedar Hill, TX.

Patsy was preceded in death by her mother.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Ball Family Chapel of Kemmerer, WY.  Private family graveside services will take place later this fall in Texas.
