Robert Carl Gagliardi

Robert Carl Gagliardi (Bobby), 85, passed away peacefully on September 5,

2026, at Granite Rehabilitation and Wellness in Cheyenne, Wyoming, after a long

and courageous journey with dementia.

Bobby was born Dec. 10, 1940, in Kemmerer, Wyoming, and was the youngest

of three children of Nase and Theresa Gagliardi. A standout athlete at Kemmerer

High School, Bobby served in the U.S. Army and returned to Kemmerer where

he retired after a 40-year career running heavy equipment at the coal mine — a

job he loved.

Affectionally known as “Gigs” by friends and family, Bobby enjoyed the

outdoors, especially spendng time with his son fishing creeks in the Wyoming

Range. Bobby was an avid Kemmerer Rangers and Wyoming Cowboys fan. He

was well-known and well-liked in and around Kemmerer, and was known for his

kindness and generousity. Bobby also liked to have fun, and he cherrished the

third weekend in August when he camped with his fellow Commissary

Commandos.

In September 2024, Bobby’s son and daughter-in-law moved him to Cheyenne

so they all could be closer. Even in his final months, he still lit up when talking

about fishing and football.

Bobby was preceeded in death by his parents, Nase and Theresa Gagliardi,

sister Madeline Krusich, brother-in-law Frank “Butch” Krusich, brother-in-law

Teddy Wright, wife Jeanette Gagliardi and step-daughter Jill Chamberlain.

He is survived by his son, Robert Paul Gagliardi (April), sister, Gerry Wright,

nieces Judy Gray (Greg), Debbie Keenan (Jim), Terri Jensen, nephew Robert

Wright (Leigh), step-daughter Marie Rogers and several great nieces and

nephews.

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Oct. 3 at the South Lincoln Cemetery in

Diamondville, followed immediately by a reception at St. Patrick Church in

Diamondville.
