Ronald Alan Lockwood, of Kemmerer, Wyoming, passed away peacefully with his friends and family by his side on July 2, 2015.
Ron was born on May 15, 1960 in Japan. He was the youngest of three children born to Delbert Duane and Glenda Mary Lockwood. He had the privilege to travel the world as his father was a pilot in the Air Force.  Ron graduated from Central High School in Cheyenne, Wyoming in 1978 and married Shauna Lee Morris in 1980.  Ron had a passion for wrestling and won multiple state and national titles. He graduated from the University of Wyoming in 1987 with a degree in range management and wildlife biology.  He worked for the Wyoming Game and Fish Department for more than 27 years.  Ron and Shauna lived in Kemmerer, Wyoming for 23 years. Ron then resided in Lander, Wyoming for 3 years, recently moving back to Kemmerer to be closer to family.  Ron and Shauna had three children together.  He was happiest when he was surround by his family and friends. Ron loved being outdoors, whether it was riding his horses, fishing, or hunting, and also loved to coach and help inspire young athletes. He coached wrestling, baseball, and softball for countless years.
Ron is survived by his long time best friend Shauna Lockwood of Kemmerer, son Sam Lockwood of Wheatland Wyoming, daughter Jessie (Jonathan) Willoughby of Kemmerer, daughter Amy (Jimmy) Schaffarzick of Kemmerer, brother Dan (Joyce) Lockwood of Fort Worth Texas, sister Kathy (Bill) Gandy of Lander Wyoming, granddaughter Iylee Jane Willoughby of Kemmerer, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends.  Ron was preceded in death by his father Delbert, mother Glenda, and nephew Andrew Allen.
A celebration of life will be held on July 7, 2015 at the South Lincoln Training and Event Center in Kemmerer, Wyoming at 1pm.
