Shaynene Faye Phelps

September 25, 1964 — November 1, 2023

Shaynene Faye Phelps, age 59, formerly of Ashtabula, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at her home in Diamondville, Wyoming. She is survived by her parents Thomas and Judy Tyson, her siblings Bobby Tyson (Mandy Tyson), Byron Tyson, Tracy Tyson (Jim Bloom), Eric Tyson, Jackie Perez (Cano Perez), her loving daughters Andrea Lye and Dornita Phelps, and her son Zebula Phelps (Rebekah Phelps). She is preceded in death by her companion John

Sheridan, her son Zachary Phelps, and her nephew Adam Gildersleeve.

Shaynene was born on September 25, 1964, in Conneaut, Ohio. She attended school at Ashtabula High School in Ashtabula, Ohio. Shaynene worked in housekeeping throughout most of her life. She was a diligent, hard worker who brought a smile to her work and family life, lifting everyone around her with her dependable positive outlook and lively sense of humor. She called Wyoming home for 28 years while relishing in the simple joys of the state; spending time outdoors fishing, camping, and relaxing. Her partner of 25 years, John Sheridan, was a loyal, hardworking partner who was always by her side. In her later life, her happiest moments were spent with her grandchildren Grayson, Jaxson, Piercen, and Owen, as she always found time for her family, who she loved dearly. Her generosity knew no bounds among her family and friends. She wouldn’t have hesitated to give the shirt off her back to anyone in need.

Shaynene will be deeply missed by her friends and loved ones who will always remember her infectious personality and kindness. A private family service will be held by her family in Ashtabula, Ohio.
