Wanda Paige Dixon went home to be with the Lord on September 8, 2026, following an unexpected illness.

She is survived by her son, Mark Sykes of Dublin, California, and her five grandchildren, Christian, Troy, Abigail, Adasen, and Evan.

Wanda spent much of her life as a single mother and faced life with remarkable grit, perseverance, and tenacity. She will be remembered for her tremendous work ethic, her strong-willed spirit, and the leadership and energy she brought to senior activities within her community. Wanda was never afraid of hard work or of standing firmly for what she believed.

Throughout her life, she demonstrated a determination to keep moving forward regardless of the challenges placed before her. That strength and independence were defining parts of who she was and will remain part of how her family remembers her.

The family extends a special and heartfelt thank you to her brother, Jimmy Dixon, for being an incredible brother, caretaker, companion, and friend to Wanda over the last several years. His presence, care, and support meant more than words can adequately express.

May Wanda rest in peace and find eternal rest with the Lord.
